Graham was educated and began his working life as a school teacher in Australia but moved to the UK in 1972 where he has enjoyed a distinguished academic career, culminating in the position of Vice Chancellor at Oxford Brookes University until his retirement in 2007. Graham has held many appointments at Board level in both the public and private sector.
In Oxfordshire he has been Chair of the Oxfordshire Community Partnership and the Oxford Playhouse, and served on the Oxfordshire Public Service Board and the Oxfordshire Economic Partnership. Said Graham, ‘I’m delighted to Chair the Board of Experience Oxfordshire, the new and innovative body crucial to promoting tourism and culture in Oxford and Oxfordshire. It will be a pleasure to work with fellow Board members and with the dedicated and talented team at Experience Oxfordshire. Together we shall ensure that Oxford and Oxfordshire remain at the heart of the British tourism industry with all the economic and financial benefits to the community which that brings.’
Experience Oxfordshire is the umbrella organisation embracing Visit Oxfordshire (tourism promotion), Oxford Inspires (arts and culture promotion) and Meet Oxfordshire (conference and meetings promotion).
